One
may take the traditional path of training that many
providers have made available by offering you some
type of IT-related academic programme. The problem
with this type of training is that you do not end
up with any real-life employable job skills. This
in turn makes you of no-use to the I.T. Industry and
your CV merely lays dormant amongst hundreds of other
wanna-be’s on the desktop of a potential employer.
Another
option you may take is to embark on an academic programme
that takes 3-4 years to complete. This has obvious
disadvantages – the I.T. Industry is fast moving
and the pace is ever increasing.
What
may be current now will be replaced by further technological
advances in a very short period of time. These people
also have their CV’s added to the notorious
‘pile’ and cling to the illusion that
they will be placed easily because of their degrees.
One only has to observe to see that this is not the
case. However, there are qualifications available
that the Industry recognises and supports. Working
in conjunction with the Industry, scrupulous, accredited
training providers are able to offer learners a unique
study experience that encompasses theoretical studies
and practical work experience.
What makes the wheels of the economy
turn are not useless pieces of paper, but rather real
people who can perform real tasks – further
exemplified by meaningful qualifications that serve
as evidence of their capability to perform these.
Achieving sustainable employment
is a major challenge which is growing every day. I.T.
is a dynamic industry and one has to source a training
provider which offers a service based on these factors:
